Alexandra Holyk is a hard-working, detail-oriented journalist and critical thinker with several years of experience in the media industry. Alexandra currently works as a video journalist at CTV News in Winnipeg where she reports on issues that matter to Manitobans and shares unique perspectives from communities across the province. Aside from pitching ideas daily, Alexandra also chases real voices and sources for her stories, shoots all of her interviews and b-roll on her own, writes scripts for broadcast, and edits her reporter packs using LumaFusion. Once her story is ready for air, Alexandra also adjusts her story to work on the CTV Winnipeg website — writing digital copy and including multimedia elements to further engage audience members.
Alexandra speaks fluent English and Ukrainian and is extremely proud of her Ukrainian cultural heritage, having grown up in the vibrant Ukrainian community in the Greater Toronto Area.
